Start of Autumn

Start of Autumn, the 13th of the twenty-four solar terms, marking the beginning of autumn. It generally indicates that the hot summer is about to leave and autumn is on its way. Cicadas, with sufficient food and fine temperature, sing triumphantly on the branches in the autumn breeze, as if notifying people that the hot summer is over.

The heat will still stay for a while after the Start of Autumn, namely the "Autumn Tiger". However, the temperature difference between morning and evening is gradually obvious, entering the "hot day, cool night" mode. However, there are variances due to different regional climate.

("Autumn Tiger" refers to the short coming back of the heat after the Start of Autumn, which usually occurs at the turn of August and September, lasting about 7-15 days)
