 Major Heat

There are three phases of the Major Heat divided by the ancient people, each named after its signature view. In the first phase, fireflies rise from the ground, embellishing the night of countryside. In the second phase, the weather becomes sweltering and the earth gets damp. In the third phase, rain pours every now and then. 

The Major Heat falls around "Zhong Fu" (the second period of the "dog days"), representing the hottest period of the year that comes with the highest temperature and the most flourishing growth of crops. However, many natural calamities such as floods, droughts and typhoons also happen during Major Heat. Therefore, it's important to harvest and plant in time, and to implement drought and waterlogging prevention, typhoon prevention, and field management,so as to avoid setbacks caused by natural disasters.
