2018 Round-Table Conference of the Silk Road International Chambers of Commerce (Xi’an) held in Xi’an

As an important part of the third Silk Road International Exposition, the 2018 Round-Table Conference of the Silk Road International Chambers of Commerce kicked off in Xi’an on May 12th. Over 200 people attended the conference, including representatives of 53 organizations for trade and investment promotion from 36 countries and regions along the Belt and Road, the people in charge of the CCPIT (China Council for the Promotion of International Trade) and delegates of domestic enterprises.

The 2018 Round-Table Conference was co-hosted by the CCPIT and the People’s Government of Shaanxi Province, and organized by the CCOIC (China Chamber of International Commerce) and the CCPIT Shaanxi. Lu Pengqi, the vice-chairman of the CCPIT and Liang Hongxian, the deputy-director of the Standing Committee of Shaanxi Provincial People’s Congress, attended the conference and gave speeches. Leveraged by the multilateral business cooperation mechanism of the Silk Road Business Council and following the principle of “wide consultation, joint contribution and shared benefits”, the in-depth discussion on topics, such as the Role of the Silk Road Business Council against the background of the new era, the Investment Facilitation among the Belt and Road International Trades, and the international cooperation on production capacity, was carried out to further solidify the development consensus, intensify exchanges on projects, deepen the industrial cooperation and promote the complementation of advantages, so as to achieve win-win cooperation. Moreover, the Statement of 2018 Round-Table Conference of the Silk Road International Chambers of Commerce (Xi’an) was approved during the conference.
