Currently, there are three urban sightseeing bus lines in Xi’an, including a Qujiang Shuttle Bus and two lines of Bus Bus Tours. They run around the city proper and facilitate the connections among popular tourist sites including the City Wall, Bell Tower, and Big Wild Goose Pagoda.

For people seeking sightseeing in some sites a little far from downtown Xi’an, like the Terracotta Army Museum, it is highly recommended to join a group tour, to save a lot of time and trouble. Qujiang Shuttle Bus

Route: North Square of Big Wild Goose Pagoda - Tang Commercial Street - Great Tang All Day Mall - Tang Dynasty City Wall Relics Park - Mausoleum of Huhai (the successor of Emperor Qin Shi Huang) - Cool Cave Heritage Park - Zhonghe Square of Qujiang Pool Park - Tang Paradise - Qujiang Ocean Park - North Square of Big Wild Goose Pagoda

Ticket Fare: CNY 5 per person (a ticket can be used for boarding several times within one day)

Operating Hours: 10:30 ~ 21:00 with an interval of 30 minutes

Xi’an Sightseeing Bus

Bus Bus Tours - Double-Deck Sightseeing Bus

Bus Bus Tours operates top-opened and double-deck sightseeing buses, passing by Xi’an’s main attractions in downtown area. At present, there are two Bus Bus Tours lines – a South Line and a North Line.

The routes listed below are for your reference only.

South Line of Bus Tours ('*' bus stop)

Route: Starting & Transfer Point * → West Park around the City Wall → West Gate → West Street → General City God Temple → Muslim Quarter / Drum Tower → Bell Tower * → East Street → East Gate → Forest of Stone Steles Museum * → Big Wild Goose Pagoda * → Shaanxi History Museum * → Small Wild Goose Pagoda * → Starting & Transfer Point *

Operating Hours: hourly at 09:00~18:00, 19:30 (excludes days of Chinese Spring Festival)

Duration for a Round-Trip: 1.5 hours (excludes visiting time and traffic jam)

North Line of Bus Bus Tours ('*' bus stop)

Route: Starting & Transfer Point * → Shuyuan Gate → Daming Palace Site of Tang Dynasty * → Expo Xian Site *

Ticket Fare: CNY 68 / adult, CNY98/adult (includes the entrance ticket of the City Wall)

Where to buy: You could purchase the ticket from the ticket offices set at any hop-on hop off stops, or from the staffs on the bus.

1. The ticket is valid for 24 hours’ unlimited Hop-on Hop-off after your first use.

2. One adult could accompany one child under 1.2m for free. Otherwise, CNY 50 is charged per child.

3. With one ticket, you could transfer between these two lines freely.
