The 7th Shaanxi-Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Economic Cooperation Week will be held from November 13 to 23, 2017. Apart from 9 project promotion activities and economic and cultural exchanges in Hong Kong, Macao and Shenzhen, there will be 2 investment promotion conferences in Singapore.
The 7th Economic Cooperation Week is the first economic and trade activity hosted by China (Shaanxi) Pilot Free Trade Zone at venues outside Shaanxi Province after its inauguration, and is also a major investment activity in 2017.
Under the theme of “Co-building the Belt and Road to Boost Shaanxi in Catching up with and Surpassing the Advanced Economies”, the Economic Cooperation Week will, relying on advantages of Hong Kong, Macao and Singapore, further the opening-up and the Belt and Road construction in Shaanxi Province.
Activities:
1. Economic and Trade Cooperation Exchange Meeting Between Shaanxi and Hong Kong
Shaanxi provincial and municipal level departments and units, and the key functional areas in the Pilot Free Tread Zone will hold talks and key projects signing ceremonies with departments in Hong Kong, celebrities in industry and commerce, business associations, investment and financing institutions and well-known enterprises. A new mutual cooperative model for Shaanxi and Hong Kong in building the Belt and Road will be explored to promote the development of China (Shaanxi) Pilot Free Trade Zone in a practical way.
2. China (Shaanxi) Pilot Free Trade Zone Project Cooperation Matchmaking Meeting in Hong Kong
Shaanxi Provincial Department of Commerce will introduce the work completed in the Free Trade Zone, key functional areas, investment policies and key projects, aiming to enhance the international influence through cooperation between China (Shaanxi) Pilot Free Trade Zone and HK enterprises.
3. Shaanxi Cultural Tourism Promotion in Hong Kong
By seizing the opportunity of building an all-for-one tourism demonstration province, Shaanxi will strengthen cooperation with HK-based institutes in co-construction of tourism corridor at the start of the Silk Road Economic Belt, Qinling Mountains Ecotourism Resort Circle, the Yellow River Tourism Belt and Red Tourism Base.
4. Shaanxi Famous Brand & Organic Agricultural Product Promotion in Hong Kong
An organic agricultural products promotion of Shaanxi famous brands will be held to promote cooperation with HK enterprises and purchasers.
5. Shaanxi Cultural Tourism Promotion in Macao
International marketing strategies adopted by Macao tourism industry will be used for reference. Communication with tourism authorities, tourism associations, travel agencies and tourism enterprises in Macao will be enhanced to promote all-round cooperation between the two sides.
6. Shaanxi Sci-tech Innovation and Development Seminar in Shenzhen
The aim of the Seminar is to promote Shaanxi-Shenzhen cooperation in terms of sci-tech innovation and sci-tech achievement transformation, build new heights for the Belt and Road regional sci-tech innovation, boost civil-military integration & innovation and establish a national independent innovation demonstration zone.
7. Shaanxi Cultural Industry Cooperative Project Promotion in Shenzhen
The Promotion will introduce the status quo of Shaanxi cultural industry and promote exchange and cooperation in cultural industries between Shaanxi and Shenzhen.
8. China (Shaanxi) Pilot Free Trade Zone Financial Innovation and Development Forum in Shenzhen
Talks will be held with Shenzhen Municipal Government, administrative committee of Pilot Free Trade Zone, banks, investment and financing institutes, foundations and well-known enterprises covering the construction of Pilot Free Trade Zone, financial reform, opening-up and innovation. Financial innovation experience and practices in Shenzhen will be used as reference in boosting the development of China (Shaanxi) Pilot Free Trade Zone.
9. Shaanxi Famous and Specialty Fair in Shenzhen
161 Shaanxi-based enterprises will hold promotions at Shenzhen Great China International Exchange Square to display specialties in 8 categories, aiming at enhancing the popularity of Shaanxi local brand and specialties.
10. China (Shaanxi) Pilot Free Trade Zone Promotion in Singapore
There are two phases for the Promotion. The first phase focuses on introducing the status quo of China (Shaanxi) Pilot Free Trade Zone, investment inviting projects and policies. The second phase includes two parallel sub-sessions: the Financial Innovation and Development Matchmaking Meeting will focus on innovative concepts and priorities of financial reform, and attracting investments in Shaanxi or share purchase by financial institutions in Singapore to facilitate cross-border trade, investment and financing; and the International Trade “Single-window System” Construction and Logistics Development Matchmaking Meeting will serve as an excellent opportunity to learn the Single-window System operation and certificate mutual recognition model from Singapore.
11. Shaanxi Culture Tourism Promotion
Develop Singapore tourism market through the promotion of Shaanxi tourism products and travel routes.
Statistics showed that from 2011 to 2016, Shaanxi had successfully convened 6 sessions of Shaanxi-Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Economic Cooperation Week with contracted projects of 389, total investment of RMB 585.161 billion and accumulated available funds of RMB 62.357 billion. At present, the rate of contract implementation is 83.7% with 65 completed projects and 253 projects under construction.
