The 6th Session of the 12th National People’s Congress of Shaanxi Province opening
On January 15, the 6th Session of the 12th National People’s Congress of Shaanxi Province was inaugurated in Xi’an.
It is estimated to have 572 deputies present in the meeting, but actually 545 present, conforming to quorum.
The meeting was hosted by the Secretary of Shaanxi Provincial Committee and director of provincial People’s Congress Standing Committee.
Members of the presidium attending the meeting and seated on the rostrum include the governor and vice governor of the provincial government, chairman and vice chairman of the provincial Political Consultative Conference, vice provincial cadres among committee members and main responsible personnel of the provincial court, procuratorate and PAP Corps, main responsible personnel of subordinate vice-ministerial level colleges and universities in Shaanxi, members of the 12th NPC Standing Committee in Shaanxi, deputies of the 12th National People’s Congress recommended to elect in Shaanxi by the central government, provincial cadres among deputies of the 12th National People’s Congress in Shaanxi and deputies of provincial 12th NPC, old comrades once acting as the provincial position in Shaanxi and present vice provincial leaders leaving office of provincial leadership, etc.
Members of the 12th National Committee of CPPCC stationed in Shaanxi and members of the 11th Committee of Shaanxi Province of CPPCC attended the meeting. Other personnel attending the meeting include deputies of the 12th NPC elected by Shaanxi Province, provincial related departments and part people’s organizations, personnel in charge of NPC Standing Committee of district and cities and municipal government, some colleges and universities and ministry province dual command units, and main responsible personnel of offices of provincial important enterprises and national related departments stationed in Shaanxi, etc.
At 9 o’clock in the morning, the meeting started with the national song. The plenary session in the morning included three agendas: provincial governor Hu Heping makes government work report; report of review on execution of national economy and social development plan of Shaanxi Province in 2016 and draft of national economy and social development plan in 2017; report of review on execution of financial budget of Shaanxi Province in 2016 and draft of financial budget in 2017.
