The center will form an RSCS working group with transportation departments, railway companies, and experts from neighboring countries to research the goals, functional requirements, indicator systems, rules and standards, and best practice cases for sustainable railways.

RSCS will serve as the foundation for the interconnection of railway standards in neighboring countries, providing technical support, talent support, and international cooperation for the development of specific rules and standards, and supporting the construction of a safe, efficient, green, and globally sustainable transportation system.

UN-ESCAP highly appreciated the railway interconnection standard cooperation platform proposed by the center and hoped that the center would play an important role in global transportation cooperation, organizing the countries involved to undertake relevant work and share project progress and achievements with the Pan Asian Railway Working Group in a timely manner.
