Dong Yuhui, a 30-year-old livestreamer from Northwest China's Shaanxi province, first gained a following online while working for the education training company New Oriental. On June 12, Dong came to Xi'an, the capital of Shaanxi province, for a special livestreaming event in the city.

Dong has become a big hit by selling agricultural products in both Chinese and English through a livestreaming channel on Douyin.

On June 13, in a livestream that ran for 10 hours, Dong and Yu Minhong, founder of New Oriental, visited Xi'an Museum, Emperor Qinshihuang's Mausoleum Site Museum, and Huaqing Palace.

They explored the profound history and culture of this ancient Chinese capital, letting millions of netizens around the world feel the unique charm of Xi'an.

At Xi'an Museum, they appreciated the cultural relics on display, and carefully observed a special exhibition of relics from the Tang Dynasty.

"The freedom, openness, and tolerance of the prosperous Tang Dynasty cemented its place and popularity in history. The confidence of the people of the Tang Dynasty, not to mention their love of life, serve as symbols of our national strength and civilization," said Dong.

Dong and Yu also enjoyed a special exhibition at Emperor Qinshihuang's Mausoleum, and learned about the restoration work behind the Terracotta Warriors and Horses.
