The China-Europe Chang'an freight train departing from Shangluo, brings walnuts overseas
On the morning of April 18, the China-Europe Chang'an freight train, loaded with more than 700 tons of Shangluo walnuts and walnut processing equipment, departed from the railroad line of Shangluo Land Port Group. It stopped in Xi'an and traveled westward to Samarkand, the second largest city in Uzbekistan, marking the official start of the China-Europe Chang'an freight train (Shangluo-Xi'an-Uzbekistan·Samarkand).
Shangluo City abounds with walnuts, and the total area of walnuts planted in the city is more than 2000 km², ranking first in Shaanxi Province and third in China. However, Shangluo City is neither coastal nor along the border, and for a long time, logistics has been an important bottleneck restricting the development of industries in Shangluo.
In response to this situation, China Railway Xi'an Group took the initiative to visit relevant enterprises in Shangluo, and actively organized Shangluo Station and Xi'an International Port Station to speed up the relevant business procedures. The international general-standard containers were arranged in advance based on the total volume of walnut.
The train was loaded with walnuts, walnut processing equipment, solar panels and other goods, with a total weight of more than 700 tons and a cargo value of 12 million yuan. After gathering at Xi'an International Port Station, the train will leave the country to the west via Horgos Port, passing through Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan and finally arriving at Samarkand, Uzbekistan. The whole journey is 4667 kilometers and takes about 8 days.
The departure of this train has opened an international logistics channel that connects both Shangluo and Xi'an to Eurasia, sending Shaanxi goods overseas, boosting rural revitalization and facilitating the "Belt and Road" product distribution center.
