Signing ceremony for the publishing of "China Overseas · Studies by Japanese Scholars upon Culture of the Tang Dynasty"

On the afternoon of November 19th, the signing ceremony for the publishing of "China Overseas · Studies by Japanese Scholars upon Culture of the Tang Dynasty" was held in Shaanxi People's Publishing House.
This book series contain a number of state-of-the-art works about the cultural research of Tang Dynasty in Japan. Professor Akira Matsubara, the famous Japanese scholar of Tang Dynasty literature, a famous Japanese expert on Du Fu, a professor at the School of International Culture of Japan College of Technology, a special professor at the Graduate School of Literature at Waseda University, and a doctoral tutor in Chinese literature at Waseda University, serves as the Japanese Editor-in-chief of this book series. Li Hao, professor of the School of Liberal Arts and Director of the Cultural Research Center at Northwest University, also the Vice President of the Tang Dynasty Literature Association of China, serves as the Chinese Editor-in-chief. Gao Bingbing, Director of the Center for Japanese Studies at Northwestern University, serves as the Chinese Executive Editor. Led by the Cultural Research Center of Northwest University, experts and scholars in various related fields are organized to translate and introduce this book.
The book series embody and represent the important achievements of studies upon China in contemporary Japanese academic circles. It is of great significance to promote the exchange and development of academic achievements in cultural studies of China, and to demonstrate the overseas influence of Chinese culture.
The translation of this book series presents the dynamics of the academic community in the neighboring countries deeply influenced by Chinese culture, outlines the trajectory of Chinese culture, and enriches the academic resources of research in related fields. The release of the Chinese versions of these works promises to build a bridge of cultural communication and achieve mutual learning of academic researches in China and abroad.
At the signing ceremony, Zhang Wei, Chairman of Shaanxi Xinhua Publishing & Media Group; Gao Ling, Deputy Director of Shaanxi Education Department; Wu Zhenlei, Vice President of Northwestern University; Song Yaping, Editor-in-chief of Shaanxi Xinhua Publishing & Media Group; and Zhao Xiaofeng, President of Shaanxi People's Publishing House, spoke highly of the value of compiling and publishing this series of books.
Pro. Akira Matsubara, Japanese Editor-in-chief of this book series, expressed his deep expectations for the book series through a video link. Li Hao, Chinese Editor-in-chief, and other experts and scholars also delivered speeches, saying that they would deepen cooperation and exchange with overseas scholars and contribute to the prosperity of the Chinese culture. Other participating scholars also expressed their expectations for the publication of the book series.
The book series "China Overseas · Studies by Japanese Scholars upon Culture of the Tang Dynasty" will be published by Shaanxi People's Publishing House.
