Xi'an's first metro museum opens
On September 26, Xi'an Metro Line 10 Phase 1 officially opened, and at the same time, Xi'an's first museum set up in the metro station was opened to the public.
Xi'an Metro Museum——Bridge Exhibition Hall is the first miniature bridge-themed metro museum in Xi'an. It is divided into two floors and is located at Jingwei Bandao Station of Metro Line 10.
The entire exhibition hall showcases the achievements of Xi'an's rail transit in bridge construction with graphic panels, cultural relic displays, and interactive technology, also utilizing models, digital interactions, and real-time imagery.
In the exhibition area titled "The Origin of Bridge", the display contains archaeological artifacts such as the water-dividing stone and water-blocking stone from the Western Han Dynasty found at the Weihe River Bridge, the stone grinding columns from the Ming and Qing Dynasties at the Bahe River Bridge, as well as the relics of the drainage ditch from the Tang and Song Dynasties excavated at the Qiaozikou Station of Metro Line 6 Phase II.
The "Highlights of Jinghe and Weihe River" exhibition area focuses on the iconic project of Metro Line 10——Jingwei Transit Rail Bridge, which highlights the outstanding achievements and technological innovations of Xi'an's rail transit in bridge construction.
In the "Dream for the Future" exhibition area, visitors can have interactive experiences of new technologies such as 5G and big data integrated into Xi'an's rail transit, and feel the convenience that smart transportation brings to daily life.
In recent years, archaeological excavations at the Bell Tower Station of Metro Line 6, which uncovered ancient wells from the Yuan and Qing Dynasties, and the themed cultural exhibition of ancient bridge ruins at the Xianyang West Station of Metro Line 1 have brought Xi'an Metro into the spotlight, attracting attention from netizens across the country.
