Special postage postcards featuring images of the Terracotta Army were officially released on July 15 at Emperor Qinshihuang’s Mausoleum Site Museum in Xi'an, Shaanxi Province.

The set, priced at 5.5 yuan, consists of five postcards depicting a high-ranking military officer, an armored warrior, a kneeling archer with a green face, a standing archer and a standing figure with his hands in his sleeves. The total face value of the stamps on the postcards is 80 cents, and 657,000 sets are expected to be issued.

The postcards highlight the five most distinctive terracotta figures, with the scripts "Qin" and "Yong" complementing each other. The cover features an original photo of the Terracotta Army as they were unearthed, showcasing the spectacular excavation scene.

Some of the terracotta figures in the image are already damaged, reflecting the wear and tear of these artifacts over millennia and their testimony to historical change. This not only provides an intuitive sense of the history and culture of the Qin Dynasty but also underscores the complexity of archaeological work and the importance of protecting ancient relics.
