On February 24th, at the 2024 Lantern Festival Gala held by China Media Group (CMG), the Xi'an sub-venue, which amazed the global Chinese audience on Chinese New Year's Eve, made a surprising reappearance. Featuring the element of the full moon, the program reproduced the colorful Shangyuan Lantern Festival and the poetic Chang'an.

As the phenomenal program The Song of Chang'an at the Xi'an sub-venue went viral during the Spring Festival, the impressive scene that people together recited Bring in the Wine can be frequently captured at the famous cultural block of Xi'an. At the 2024 Lantern Festival Gala, the host and audience once again called out the legendary poet "Li Bai," inviting him to together celebrate the Lantern Festival night.

The show A Beautiful Night in Chang'an at the Xi'an sub-venue resonates with the theme "connect the past with the present" of the 2024 Spring Festival Gala, bringing out the original Daming Palace in the Tang Dynasty via special effects, which added a tremendous festive vibe.

The show features the ancient Daming Palace and the Chang'an city of the Western Han Dynasty as the main settings, while also showcasing the bustling streets and alleys of modern Xi'an, presenting a vibrant Lantern Festival in today's Xi'an. With the "full moon" as a major spiritual symbol to connect people's well wishes, the show depicts scenes of happiness and prosperity of people, highlighting the atmosphere of renewal and fulfilment on the Lantern Festival night.

During the Tang Dynasty in Chang'an, there was a tradition of enjoying lanterns at the Lantern Festival. On the night of the Lantern Festival, the curfew in Chang'an City was lifted, and people were allowed to go to the streets and fully enjoy the prosperous view of the city. At the Xi'an sub-venue in 2024, amidst the glowing lanterns, the grandeur of the ancient Daming Palace and Chang'an city of the Western Han Dynasty reproduced by the show enable the audiences to fully experience the cultural charm of Chang'an.
