Hangzhou promotes its cultural tourism in Xi'an

A large-scale outdoor promotion event for cultural tourism in Hangzhou, East China's Zhejiang province, was held in Xi'an, capital of Northwest China's Shaanxi province, on Nov 24.

Over 200 people from key tourism enterprises, online travel platforms, intangible cultural heritage companies, and media in Xi'an were invited to participate.

Lou Yejie, secretary of the leading Party members group in Hangzhou and head of the Hangzhou municipal bureau of culture, radio, TV and tourism, and Sun Chao, secretary of the leading Party members group in Xi'an and head of the Xi'an municipal administration of culture and tourism, attended the event and delivered speeches.

The event presented Hangzhou's natural, historical, and cultural resources from five aspects: landscapes, culture, cuisine, post-Asian Games themed events, and new attractions on both sides of the Xin'an, Fuchun and Qiantang rivers.

The exhibition area at the event showcased exquisite cultural and creative products, delicacies, and intangible cultural heritage items from eight districts and counties in Hangzhou. The attendees and tourists were deeply impressed and expressed an eagerness to visit them.

The diverse range of interactive activities allowed the people of Xi'an to experience local customs and deepen their understanding of Hangzhou's culture and history.

Hangzhou and Xi'an will further strengthen their exchanges and cooperation, taking this promotion event as an opportunity to jointly write a new chapter in the high-quality development of cultural tourism in their respective regions.
