Shaanxi Provincial Cultural Center adds new hall area

The Qujiang Hall of the Shaanxi Provincial Cultural Center opened to the public in Xi'an, capital of Northwest China's Shaanxi province, on June 15, adding a cultural landmark for the city.

Established in February 1956, the Shaanxi Provincial Cultural Center is a national first-level cultural center. It undertakes the responsibility and mission of popularizing art among the people and carrying forward the excellent traditional Chinese culture.

After the new hall opens, the center is set to have two hall areas totaling 48,800 square meters.

Located on Yannan Road, the Qujiang Hall of the center covers an area of 22,000 sq m.

It has five primary functions: deepening theoretical research on mass cultural undertakings, carrying out mass cultural demonstration activities, organizing popular education and art training for all, promoting excellent traditional Chinese culture, and disseminating modern civilized customs.

As a new cultural complex integrating service training, leisure, and exhibition, the new hall's reception capacity is estimated to receive 10,000 per day.

On the day of opening, the new hall received a batch of art enthusiasts, with a series of exhibition activities and mass cultural training activities provided, such as music, dance, art, and calligraphy.
