Recently, there has been new progress in the construction of Qinhan branch of Shaanxi History Museum in Qinhan New City, Xixian New Area.

Rendering of the museum

Designed by the famous Chinese architect Zhang Jinqiu, the Qinhan branch of Shaanxi History Museum is a modern museum that features a solid traditional style. It integrates the functions of heritage conservation, display and exhibition, academic research, science education and tourism services.

The project acceptance of landscape greening, 4D cinema, double watchtowers and other auxiliary works of the main building was completed. The work of exhibition design and collection display is also carried out orderly.

The museum is symmetrically laid out, referring to the allocation of five stars of the Big Dipper. The entire complex exerts the bold, ancient, and robust style of the "Great Qin".

Early on, from the Warring States Period to the Qin and Han Dynasties, the platform as a building style was prevalent. This museum adopts the appearance of a high-platform building, with the exhibition area on the first floor and the public activity area in the "hall" on the high platform. The museum in all involves various functions.

During the Qin Dynasty, multiple paths (overhead corridors) were set up to connect the high towers and pavilions for easy access. The seven monolithic buildings of the museum are also connected by multiple paths with different elevations. And these paths were made of glass, unlike in ancient times.

A landscape water body is set on the museum's south side, symbolizing the milky way. A long horizontal bridge extends from the main entrance plaza of the museum, flies across the "milky way", and goes straight to the platform on the second floor.

The watchtowers and the palaces were the main architecture in the early days of Xianyang, the capital city of the Qin Dynasty. The watchtowers usually stand with each other in pairs, used to mark the gate thresholds and issue decrees. At the museum entrance, the iconic twin watchtowers face the museum's main body, pulling one's mind back to more than 2000 years ago.

Grove is an early form of a classical Chinese garden. With the grove set around the museum building, the museum integrates well with the garden, merging into the surrounding environment. A quiet and beautiful visiting environment is thus created.

"We are speeding up the entire project, project acceptance and other work. And we will try our best to present the museum to the public as soon as possible." said the related person in charge of the project construction.
