Sharing the Beauty - China-Latin American and Caribbean Art Exchange Retrospective Exhibition

During the 8th Silk Road International Art Festival, the “Sharing the Beauty - China-Latin American and Caribbean Art Exchange Retrospective Exhibition” selects the finest works created by Latin American artists while they were in China. These works enhance people-to-people ties with artistic elements, inherit and interpret the spirit of the Silk Road, and promote the exchange of civilizations between China and Latin America.

The exhibition collates and reviews cooperative achievements and artistic creations of the China-Latin America art exchange program series from 2011 to 2021. Fifty-five pieces (sets) of oil paintings, ink paintings, installations, photographs, videos and other types of works are on display. These include artworks created by 26 artists from Argentina and 12 other Latin American and Caribbean countries during the artist residency program in China over the years. Three paintings (replicas) are from Fernando Botero, an art master praised as a Colombian national treasure.

This exhibition is supplemented by art talks in which participating artists introduce the development of Latin American art and culture and share their experiences and feelings about China-Latin America art exchange programs and their recent artistic projects.
