Construction of the Xi'an Chanba Silk Road International Culture and Art Center – located in the Chanba Ecological District of Xi'an, capital of Northwest China's Shaanxi province – was recently completed.
With a construction area of about 150,000 square meters, it is the first cultural complex in the district.
The center boasts a large theater, a multi-function hall, an activity center and an art gallery.

The multi-function hall and the theater offer contrasting features in the complex, located by the Bahe River. The art gallery is a venue for art exhibitions, trade and cultural salons, and sitting by the window in the activity center, visitors can take in a sweeping view of the beautiful scenery of the Chanba Ecological District.
In future, as an exchange and exhibition center for literary and artistic works between China and countries involved in the Belt and Road Initiative, the venue will attract more and more overseas masterpieces that will be staged there.
It will also become an important window for Chinese culture to go global – and will further integrate Xi'an into the Belt and Road construction.
