Xi'an celebrates Spring Festival with colorful online activities

With the orderly restoration of normal life and economic activity in Xi'an, capital of Northwest China's Shaanxi province, the tourism industry has gradually recovered.

In accordance with COVID-19 pandemic prevention and control measures and to welcome the approaching Spring Festival, the Xi'an municipal bureau of culture and tourism launched the "Cloud Gathering in Chang'an, Touring Xi'an Online" activity on Jan 16. It will run until the Lantern Festival on Feb 25.

During the activity, the new media matrix of the Voice of Xi'an Culture and Tourism (西安文旅之声) will promote Xi'an culture, food, scenic spots, blocks, homestays, intangible cultural heritage and other cultural and tourism attractions online.

Through a series of online live broadcasts, short video exhibitions, and image and text displays, people who spend the Spring Festival in Xi'an can experience the New Year charm of Xi'an and obtain first-hand information related to the festival.

A series of short videos about the activity will be released on Douyin, Weibo and other platforms of the Voice of Xi'an Culture and Tourism.
