Xi'an Qinling Wildlife Park gets a big revamp
During the COVID-19 pandemic period – while ensuring the safety and health of more than 6,000 animals – the Xi'an Qinling Wildlife Park in Xi'an, capital of Northwest China's Shaanxi province, made full use of the closed period to carry out a major revamp of the animal houses and touring facilities and environment.
To cater to the natural habit of primates that like to climb, the park's staff members have installed food feeders, swings and perches, as well as self-made climbing ladders and climbing ropes.

Landscape stones have been upgraded, creating a more natural living environment for the lovely ring-tailed lemurs and other monkeys.
The animal kindergarten in the park exhibits and looks after artificially bred young tigers and lions, as well as young red-crowned cranes and swans. It is also one of the important experience bases for science popularization and research trips in the park.

To revamp the facility, staff members painted and beautified the exterior walls of the building, installed wooden guardrails and added animal science instruction boards.
In addition, the original stone steps were changed into wooden steps that match the natural environment.
