Mother of three strives for better life for children

Liu Ling, a mother of three, works hard for a better life for her children, showcasing the independence and capability of Chinese women in Xi'an, Northwest China's Shaanxi province.

Liu has been working in the building materials processing industry for about 11 years in Xi'an, where her husband's family business is located.

Prior to that, the woman from East China's Jiangxi province was in the garment business in Hangzhou, East China's Zhejiang province.

Although she has to carry window frames, which are heavier than her, she never complains. In order to deliver products on time, she sometimes works overnight with colleagues.

Currently, Liu Ling has a window and door plant in Xi'an with the daily capacity to deliver enough products to fill five to 10 trucks. Although she can make 50,000 yuan ($7,715.05) per month, she said she hopes the business can improve as the country grows stronger.
