Shaanxi Province Art Museum

Completed in April 2000, Shaanxi Province Art Museum was established and opened to the public in 2001. Of 10760 square meters of construction area, the exhibition hall area is 7600 square meters and the exhibition line is 1800 meters. There are 8 exhibition halls and exhibition galleries on 4 floors. There is also a Central Sculpture Exhibition Hall, Lecture Hall, VIP Hall, Collection Gallery, etc. . Equipped with automatic fire monitoring, infrared anti-theft monitoring and central air conditioning system, Shaanxi Province Art Museum has relatively complete facilities.

Shaanxi Province Arts Museum is crucial in six fields including arts collection and protection, academic research, exhibition and display, public education, promotion services, and cultural exchanges. It is currently the largest professional art museum in western China. It was listed by the Ministry of Culture at the end of 2010 as the first batch of National Key Art Museums.

Established with no collection, the museum now has over 4,000 pieces (sets) of various art collections and has held more than 500 exhibitions. At the same time, using the good human environment of the ancient city Xi'an and the profound traditional cultural resources in Shaanxi, the Shaanxi Province Art Museum has launched targeted academic research work. In recent years, it has edited and published "Art Museum" and a number of albums, academic literature, and yearbooks, highlighting the academic features and cultural power of the museum.
