Shaanxi Province and Syrdarya Region of Uzbekistan signed a memorandum on developing friendly and cooperative ties

On 21 February, in Xi'an, Shaanxi Province and the Syrdarya region of Uzbekistan signed a memorandum on developing friendly and cooperative ties.

Zhao Yide, Secretary of the Shaanxi Provincial Party Committee, met with Maxmudaliyev, governor of the Syrdarya region, and Arziev, Uzbek ambassador to China. Ye Niuping, Deputy Governor of Shaanxi Province, and Botirov, Deputy Governor of Syrdarya region signed the memorandum on behalf of the two sides.

Zhao Yide welcomed the governor of the Syrdarya region and his entourage to visit Shaanxi. He said that, based on China-Ukraine friendly relations, Shaanxi and Syrdarya region have exchanged visits and communications continuously. The Sino-Ukrainian Modern Agricultural Science and Technology Demonstration Park of the Shanghai Cooperation Agricultural Base was inaugurated in the Syrdarya region, and the Yangling Demonstration Zone has established friendly relations, ending up with successful cooperation between the two parties. At present, Shaanxi is relying on the advantages of science, education, culture, location, resources and industry, vigorously developing an open economy and deeply integrating into the overall pattern of the "Belt and Road Initiative". It is hoped that together with the Syrdarya region, Shaanxi will continue to deepen cooperation in agriculture, economy and trade, education and other fields, further strengthening exchanges between local governments, and contributing to the sustainable development of China-Ukraine relations.

Maxmudaliyev said that he will take this signing as an opportunity to continuously strengthen mutually beneficial cooperation with Shaanxi in various fields and jointly promote the prosperity and development of the two places.
