Shaanxi sees resilient growth in foreign trade

Over the first 10 months of this year, Northwest China's Shaanxi registered a robust foreign trade growth of 402.9 billion yuan ($56.53 billion), up 3.8 percent compared to the same period in 2021.

The province's imports and exports with countries involved in the Belt and Road Initiative from January to October also surged by 39.7 percent, equivalent to 89.61 billion yuan. Meanwhile, its trade with other Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) members stood at 159.56 billion yuan, accounting for 39.6 percent of Shaanxi's total foreign trade volume.

Also worth noting is that Shaanxi's imports and exports with South Korea, the European Union and the Association of Southeast Asian Nations all exceeded 50 billion yuan. Imports and exports by private enterprises located in the province have also climbed to 152.99 billion yuan.        

Shaanxi's main imported and exported goods are electro-mechanic products, such as integrated circuits, automatic data processing equipment and its spare parts, solar cells, and automotive products.
