Xi’an Baqiao Industrial Park of Science and Technology

Xi’an Baqiao Industrial Park of Science and Technology was founded in September 2002 upon approval of Shaanxi Provincial Government and is one of the provincial development zones retained upon examination by the State Council. The park is located on upper reaches of Xi’an Chanba Ecological Area on both shores of urban section of Bahe River, and bounds Bahe River in the east, TangduHospital in the west, Xi’an-Ankang railway in the south and Xi’an-Lintong expressway in the north, 3km to Bailu Ecological Area. Its core section covers a planning area of 9 square kilometers.

The park lies at the east gate of Xi’an and is adjacent to Xi’an Chanba Ecological Area. With eastward development of Xi’an across Chanhe River and BaheRiver and implementation of comprehensive development strategy of the textile town area, the park becomes essential to urban construction and industrial layout.

Traffic advantage: convenient and rapid traffic network consists of highways and urban main lines such as bypass highway, Xi’an-Lantian highway, Xi’an-Lintong highway, eastern 3rd ring road and Xi’an-Lintong expressway as well as Xi’an Subway No.1 line under construction running through the park area and increasingly improved internal road network.

Ecological advantage: The park spans urban section of BaheRiverand owns about 4.5-km-long primitive ecological river course resources, natural wetland, water and trees, ancient bridge and new willow and unique ecological and humanistic landscape. The Baqiao Binhe Park under construction, the largest open park in Shaanxi, will become a green ecological corridor within the park area.

The subject of the park is characterized by new urban area and new Baqiao of humanity and ecology in eastern Xi’an, led by large group and driven by big projects featuring introduction and development of new low carbon and economic projects in modern logistics, energy chemical, rare metal research and production, commercial and trading service, entertainment and tourism, high-end residence in order to create an ecology-friendly new urban district with clustered industries, complete functions and supporting services.

Baqiao Binhe Park: It lies at 50-100m between Longhai Railway bridge and Xi’an-Ankang Railway bridge over BaheRiver within a range of 4.5km in full length 4.5km and 2.85km2in area, focusing on development of recreation and entertainment, commercial conference and exhibition and high-end residence.

Construction base for energy chemical infrastructure: extending about 3km2ranges to Lintong district in the east, to Huokou crossroad in the west, to Xi’an-Lintong highway in the south and to Longhai Railway in the north; focusing on development energy logistics and deep processing based on terminal of Yanchang petroleum product pipeline.

Both sides of Baqiao Avenue are based on eastern passenger station and subway station as well as access road to expressway, it focuses on development of commercial trade services, modern logistics and real estate, including construction of commercial trade circle at Xinsi crossroad, economic zone of headquarters and ecological residential area.
