Silk Road International Exposition: A Bond of International Friendship

On June 3, Silk Road International Expo, one of the most eagerly anticipated events in Xi’an, opened its doors. The grand expo witnessed the enthusiasm of foreign merchants, international students and exotic performers.

“Being the guest of honor means an opportunity to cooperate in the development of a better world,” said Natasa Pesic Radosavljevic, a delegate from City of Kragujevac in Republic of Serbia.

The core expectation of the delegate is not only economic growth but also cultural exchange. Coming with business items in various fields, Serbia seeks the development of itself, China, as well as all the countries along the One Belt One Road.

“Nice, kind, and happy,” asked about the dominant impression of Chinese, an assistant of the delegate, Jana Jevtovic, replied with joy.

“The best part of demonstrating our culture to international audience is to share happiness,” said Danne, a dancer from Brazil.

“I’ll be back in two days, but through Silk Road International Expo, people’s kindness and everything will always linger in my mind.”

“From today’s expo I can see the growth of the One Belt One Road. It might take time, but it was promising,” Uzair Adeem, an international student from Xi’an Jiaotong University, shared his own perspective on the expo.

Seeing fellow-villagers in the platform of Pakistan, Uzair appreciated the endeavor of this historical city a lot. “The beautiful thing I observed from China is that Chinese implement their plan in their own country but serves everyone in the world better.”
