Provincial deputies to NPC offer advices and suggestions for developing rural tourism in Shaanxi province.

On how to make villages and small towns with good condition and will develop rural tourism driving farmers to get rich, there are many provincial deputies to NPC making their suggestions in the current session of provincial “Two Sessions”.

This year's Report on the Work of the Government proposed that in 2016, Shaanxi Province will give full play to the leading role of modern service industry to other industries to develop rural tourism combining with the construction of beautiful countryside to make rural tourism become a new way for farmers to get rich. As a grass-roots deputy to the NPC, Yang Tongchuan, the Party branch secretary of Zuitou village, Shiqiao town, Chunhua county, Xianyang city has a deep feeling to this.

Yang Tongchuan, the Party branch secretary of Zuitou village, Shiqiao town, Chunhua county, Xianyang city said: "I think farmers should enter into the second and third industry to develop from plant industry to service industry and from service industry to rural tourism, thus farmers will increase income in a quicker way."

Last year, Yang Tongchuan used free time to visit many villages in the drought area of Weibei. He found that there are valleys, hillsides, mountains, rivers and abundant natural resources in most villages just like his villages, but there are shortage of fund and other issues in general to develop rural tourism.

Yang Tongchuan, the Party branch secretary of Zuitou village, Shiqiao town, Chunhua county, Xianyang city said: "I think a good shortcut to make farmers income increased is to develop the rural tourism in villages with good conditions to make integrated business canvassing, and then to link villages with some enterprises to make the planning and designing for the village as a whole developing the existing resources, while the farmers can buy a share with some lands or money.

Nowadays, some villages in Weibei area of Shaanxi Province have begun to take action to gradually transform from agricultural production to agricultural production plus agricultural sightseeing and develop rural tourism combining with the construction of beautiful countryside under the demonstration and lead of Yuanjia village, Maweiyi and other villages which have been successfully transformed into rural tourism villages.

Pei Miao, the provincial deputy to the NPC, also the chief engineer of Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development in Liquan county said “I think we should first do some planning manifesting the local characteristics and culture to make the rural tourism the best, most unique and representative one if we plan to develop rural tourism in other towns, regions and counties.”

Huo Wenjun, the provincial deputy to the NPC, also the director of Culture and Travel and Tourism Bureau of Weinan city said: "First of all, we need to solve the problem of environmental beauty, the second is to solve the problem of convenient transportation. Now travel has entered into the era of self-driving travel. Tourists are very interested in humane, natural, civilian and aborigines’ life in rural area. Therefore, we must combine the intangible cultural heritage, farming culture and modern agriculture to provide a distinctive and differentiated tourism culture for self-driving tourists."
