A US company will establish a central kitchen for Shaanxi cuisine

On June 18, workers at the Qin Hou Liu Yipao production base in Shangluo loaded 1000 boxes of Baiji flatbread onto trucks for shipment to the United States.

Paomo is a traditional Shaanxi dish made with flatbread, known for its generous seasoning, mellow flavor, tender meat, and rich savory soup. In recent years, as economic and cultural exchanges between Shaanxi and the rest of the world have grown increasingly frequent, Shaanxi paomo has found its way onto "the world's dining tables," being exported to nearly 30 countries and regions. Moreover, it has made the leap from "exporting products" to "exporting the industry."

Last year, Liu Yipao Food Company set up forward warehouses and small central kitchens in Japan and Malaysia, enabling localized production and omnichannel supply of products such as lamb paomo, roujiamo (Chinese hamburger), and youpo mian (oil-splashed noodles).

In May this year, three Shaanxi companies, including Liu Yipao Food Company, signed a cooperation agreement with a US company to build a central kitchen in North America, integrating R&D, production, and distribution. This effectively moves the "back kitchen" of Shaanxi cuisine to the United States. It will provide supply chain support for overseas Shaanxi‑style restaurants, reduce labor costs, and improve meal preparation efficiency.
