Shaanxi launches vision-guided intelligent EV charging robot

"Currently moving. Please step back!"

That's not a human talking – it's a smart charging robot. This EV charging robot has moved from concept to reality in northwest China's Shaanxi Province, demonstrating the province's rapid technological advances. 

Equipped with visual recognition, a six-axis robotic arm, and bionic intelligence, the robot – part of the Qinchuangyuan demonstration platform project, serves as a mobile power bank for electric vehicles. In 2023, the project team partnered with Xi'an Jiaotong University to overcome key technical challenges, successfully launching the first-generation test model. 

By 2024, Shaanxi's sci-tech innovation index reached 72.2 percent, ranking 4th nationwide, while tech contract volumes surpassed 483 billion yuan, nearly three times that of 2020. Today, innovation is the engine driving Shaanxi's rapid rise.
