China-Europe Railway Express (Xi'an) sees high-quality development

China-Europe Railway Express (Xi'an) operated 3,310 trains from January to June this year, an 8.3 percent increase year-on-year. Key core indicators, including cargo volume and loaded container rate, have ranked first nationwide for eight consecutive years.

Addressing the pain points of logistics enterprises, China Railway Xi'an Group Co has optimized its transport service model, effectively cutting costs and boosting efficiency for foreign trade businesses. The company has streamlined the multimodal rail-sea connection, eliminating redundant procedures such as repeated customs declarations and loading and unloading.

Using the resources of the Xi'an Kazakhstan Terminal, China-Europe Railway Express (Xi'an) has built a one-stop closed-loop transportation network covering Kazakhstan, which effectively addresses cumbersome overseas transit procedures and delays.

The efficient land passage serves not only as a major logistics artery for foreign trade but also as a vital bond for cultural exchanges between China and foreign countries. In June, 53 intangible cultural heritage artworks from Shaanxi province were transported via the China-Europe Railway Express (Xi'an) to the museum themed on traditional Chinese culture in Vologda Oblast, Russia, completing the cross-border shipment of cultural exhibits.

"Thanks to the efficient operation of Xi'an International Port Station, we are seeing a diversification of cargo types," said Shi Miao, a representative of Xi'an International Port Group. "New energy vehicles, high-end equipment manufacturing products, cross-border e-commerce goods, and other commodities have become regular shipments on the trains."

Xi'an International Port Station now operates 18 international transportation lines, and three full-schedule direct trains from Xi'an to Duisburg, Budapest, and Prague, maintaining a stable schedule of six outbound and three inbound trains per week. The fastest transit to Germany takes only 10 days, with overall transport efficiency improved by 30 percent.

China Railway Xi'an Group Co will drive China-Europe Railway Express (Xi'an) toward higher-quality development, greater economic benefits, and safer operations, contributing to the high-quality development of the Belt and Road Initiative and helping Shaanxi become a central hub of inland reform and opening-up.
