World's biggest fan production base opens in Xi'an

The world's largest fan production base, a new project of Ebmpapst Group Co, has been put into operation at Xi'an Economic and Technological Development Zone's Weibei Industrial Park.

This new project, which has received a total investment of 500 million yuan ($70.35 million), introduces advanced product technology and production lines from Germany and relevant European countries. It will focus on R&D and the production of motors and fans for the Chinese market, with an expected annual output value of 2 billion yuan.

Ebmpapst signed the contract for the fan production base with the Xi'an Economic and Technological Development Zone Management Committee in December 2023, with construction underway by April 2024.

The company will rely on localized operations and advanced technology to launch more competitive, efficient solutions, promote industry-wide energy-efficiency upgrades, and better serve the Chinese market.
