Xi'an Marathon opens registrations
Registrations will be open from July 5 to 27 for the 2025 Xi'an Marathon on Oct 19.
The Xi'an Marathon has been awarded the titles of "Gold Medal Event" by the Chinese Athletics Association and "Elite Event" by the World Athletics since its inception in 2017. Last year, it was named an "Influential Event" by the Chinese Athletics Association and recognized as a "2024 China Sports Tourism Boutique Event.” This highlights the connection between Xi'an's history and modernity, creating a vibrant brand that ignites the city's passion for sports.
As the only World Athletics gold standard event held in the Northwest China, the Xi'an Marathon will increase its scale from 35,000 to 38,000 participants, comprising 22,000 for the marathon, 12,000 for the half marathon, and 4,000 for the 7-kilometer fun run.
All participants will depart from Yongning Gate, while the endpoints of the marathon, half marathon, and fun run are the Xi'an Olympic Sports Center Stadium, the Xi'an International Convention and Exhibition Center, and the Daming Palace Yudao Square, respectively.
An event representative said, “We will strive to offer professional event organization, rigorous competition standards, and excellent athlete services, striving to make the Xi'an Marathon a heavyweight competition that attracts more athletes.”
