The salon brought together experts, think tank representatives, cultural specialists, and media practitioners from multiple countries across the globe to conduct in-depth discussions on diverse topics and explore new paths for exchanges and mutual learning among civilizations in the new era.
Huang Jianyou, vice-president of Xi'an International Studies University, said that civilizational exchanges in the new era are better reflected in sincere mutual understanding and warm interactions at the grassroots level.
In the thematic roundtable, guests from France, Mali, Cambodia, and other countries shared experiences on preserving and inheriting diverse civilizations based on their own research and practical experience.

Tony Brown, a tenured professor at the Beaux-Arts de Paris, said that art and design serve as a borderless bridge for communication, adding that cultural heritage should not be confined to display in exhibition halls. Instead, it should be integrated into contemporary life and public aesthetics, telling local cultural stories through an international artistic language.
The guests suggested that international cultural exchange platforms should extend beyond institutional boundaries and take root among the public, enabling civilizational dialogues to reach wider groups.
