Xi'an launches China-Europe Railway Express to Budapest

The train will head west, passing through countries including Kazakhstan, Russia, and Belarus, and finally arrive in Budapest, Hungary. The entire journey takes 10 days and 23 hours.

The full-timetable China-Europe Railway Express refers to the China-Europe Railway Express that operates according to the agreed train numbers, routes, schedules, and fixed domestic and international departure, port, and arrival times of the railways of the countries along the route. The result is higher quality, better efficiency, and safety, ensuring the stability and smoothness of the international supply chain and industrial chain.
From January to October, the China-Europe Railway Express (Xi'an) operated 5,063 trains, a year-on-year increase of 16.3 percent. The total weight of goods transported was 5.56 million metric tons, a year-on-year increase of 12.9 percent. A total of 505,000 TEUs were sent, up 10.5 percent.
Zhang Qitao, deputy general manager of Xi`an Free Trade Port Construction and Operation Co, said, "Currently, the Xi'an-Budapest China-Europe Railway Express operates once a week. We will work together with railway, customs and other departments, and optimize vehicle allocation, station operations, and inspection efficiency, creating an efficient and convenient channel for economic and cultural exchanges between China and Hungary."
