LONGi participated in the launch of the "2025 Corporate Sustainable Brand Xi'an Initiative"
On October 17, the 2025 Corporate Sustainable Brand Roundtable was held at the Longi Green Energy Headquarters in Xi'an. This was the first event of the Geneva Sustainable Brand Vision Initiative in China.
This roundtable meeting was hosted by LONGi Green Energy, co-organized by the Sustainable Business and Brand Working Committee of the China Association for Standardization, and supported by the Sustainable Social Value Ecosystem and the Global Photovoltaic Sustainability Initiative (GSSA). Leaders of professional organizations, experts and scholars, industry leaders, and heads of brand companies discussed at the meeting how to integrate the concept of sustainable development into corporate brand building.

Li Zhenguo, Founder and CTO of LONGi Green Energy, stated that in the era of global carbon neutrality, sustainable branding is not only a reflection of corporate social responsibility but also a crucial means of earning market recognition, social respect, and environmental friendliness. LONGi Green Energy has always considered sustainable development as a new dimension in developing its green brand. While promoting global energy transition through technological innovation and creating green energy, it is also committed to becoming a global leader in sustainable development in the clean energy sector. This conference reflects LONGi Green Energy's deep reflection on the development of sustainable brands, and it hopes to further explore the deep integration of corporate brands and sustainable development.
The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) and the United Nations Global Compact sent congratulatory messages to the roundtable. Sophie Muller, UNHCR's Representative in China, stated that the event provided an important platform for exploring how corporate leadership can drive global sustainable development. Meanwhile, the partnership between UNHCR and LONGi Green Energy showcased the power of integrating brand purpose with sustainable action. LONGi Green Energy's practice vividly illustrates how companies can build lasting brand value by driving positive change and building resilience.
Liu Meng, General Representative of the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC) in Asia Pacific, stated in a written statement that building a sustainable brand is not only about market image but it also reflects a company's strategic vision and governance capabilities. Deeply embedding the concept of sustainable development in corporate brand building will simultaneously enhance a company's long-term value and social trust. As a UNGC corporate member, LONGi Green Energy's responsibility-based and innovation-driven practices align with the direction advocated by the UN Global Compact and set a positive precedent for the industry.
Launching Xi'an Initiative to Build Sustainable Brands
Today, the wave of carbon neutrality is sweeping the world. China's new round of nationally determined contribution target is to reduce China's net greenhouse gas emissions across the economy by 7%-10% compared with the peak by 2035, and strive to do better.
Jiang Li, chairman of the Sustainable Business and Brand Working Committee (SBBC) of the China Association for Standardization, said: "Now is the best time to build sustainable brands." During this critical period, companies need to transform sustainable concepts into core brand competitiveness through systematic practice, open collaboration and efficient communication, making sustainable brands the value link connecting companies, consumers and society.

All participants of the 2025 Corporate Sustainable Brand Roundtable, based on China's industrial practices and focusing on cross-industry collaboration, released the "2025 Corporate Sustainable Brand Xi'an Initiative": the initiative anchors the sustainable agenda and lays a solid foundation for brand strategy, strengthening innovation-driven development, creating a sustainable brand benchmark, implementing ESG management, consolidating sustainable brand practices, building consensus on communication, enhancing the voice of sustainable brands, deepening global collaboration and building a sustainable brand ecosystem.
Launched on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the United Nations, the "Xi'an Initiative on Corporate Sustainable Branding 2025" not only responds to the international community's shared expectations for companies to demonstrate sustainable leadership, but it also demonstrates the resolve and actions of Chinese companies in promoting sustainable branding. Its release reflects the profound reflection of all participants on the development of sustainable brands. The initiative aims to further promote the deep integration and innovation of corporate brands and sustainable development, foster an open and mutually beneficial global sustainable business ecosystem, and chart a path for long-term brand growth.
Over a month ago, the "Creating Sustainable Brands" initiative was officially launched at the United Nations Palais des Nations in Geneva. Twenty-four industry-leading companies were among the first to sign the initiative, demonstrating their commitment to sustainable branding. As the only photovoltaic company invited to attend, LONGi Green Energy, also formally signed the initiative, pledging to fully integrate sustainable development into business and brand value creation, and to contribute to the achievement of sustainable development goals through responsible business practices.
Leading a sustainable future by being a responsible role model
In 2023, LONGi Green Energy proposed the sustainable development goal of "making affordable clean energy accessible to all" and the energy equity concept of "making differences common through light". LONGi Green Energy's business philosophy is guided by goodwill, and in the process of realizing commercial value, it takes into account the requirements of society, the environment and stakeholders, and is committed to integrating the concept of sustainable development into the company's strategy and operations.
Jeffrey Sachs, President of the United Nations Sustainable Development Solutions Network, commented that he was grateful to LONGi for becoming a world-class company, being innovative, committed to sustainable development, and actively reaching out to the world, delivering beautiful values and everything the company can offer to benefit the world.
With its long-standing industry-leading sustainable development practices, LONGi Green Energy is driving global energy transformation and sustainable development, and has received numerous international ESG ratings and honors. Among them, LONGi Green Energy was recognized by China Central Television as a "China ESG Model Enterprise," the only company in the photovoltaic industry to be selected.

During the roundtable meeting, Liu Xing, the producer of the Event Department of the Finance Center of China Media Group in charge of the "China ESG Release" and Model Ceremony, awarded LONGi Green Energy the "ESG Model Demonstration Base" medal.
When talking about the "methodology" of brand building of "China's ESG Model Enterprise", Liu Xing said that LONGi Green Energy uses technological innovation to anchor "green hard power" and give the brand "solid support", which is a major path to brand building of "China's ESG Model Enterprise".

At the roundtable meeting, participating brand companies, professional institutions, experts, scholars and industry leaders also shared and discussed the creation of corporate sustainable brands, the integration and innovation of corporate brands and sustainable development, and cross-border cooperation opportunities in sustainable brand building. Everyone agreed that the action of creating sustainable brands involves many key aspects of corporate operations. In the future, the concept and practice of sustainable development will be transformed into the competitive advantage of corporate brands, and they will work together to promote the implementation of sustainable brands and the construction of a greener, inclusive and sustainable brand ecosystem.
