Hosted by China West Airport Group, the event centered on the layout and development of Xi'an as an international aviation hub, focusing on key topics like international route planning, multi-hub coordination, and the development of smart airports.
The event brought together representatives from government agencies, domestic and international airports, airlines, universities, and technology enterprises to discuss paths for the high-quality development of civil aviation in the Asia-Pacific region.
During the speech session, representatives of Xi'an Xianyang International Airport, China Eastern Airlines, AirAsia, Civil Aviation University of China, and Huawei delivered keynote addresses from the perspectives of hub airports, international airlines, professional academia, and technical pathways. They provided important models for the high-quality development of an international aviation hub and building broad consensus for the coordinated development of civil aviation in Asia.
As one of China's top 10 international aviation hubs, Xi'an Xianyang International Airport has focused on its strategic positioning as a comprehensive gateway international aviation hub in recent years. It has shifted from developing single transportation corridors to building a multi-tiered and wide-reaching route network, establishing a highly convenient domestic aviation structure, and forming an aviation network covering both domestic and international markets.

IATA also awarded a certificate to the airport's Ground Service Company for its admission into the IATA Ground Handling Partnership. This marks an important milestone for the airport as it aligns with international standards and enhances its ground operation safety and service support capabilities.
The airport will deepen cooperation with IATA to improve safety management, consolidate the foundation for hub development, and achieve sustainable and high-quality development.
