As of Oct 29, the number of inbound and outbound personnel at Xi'an Port this year had exceeded 1.7 million, with more than 12,000 flights, year-on-year increases of 53 percent and 55 percent, respectively.

More than 200,000 inbound personnel have entered Xi'an through the port, of which 150,000 have entered through the visa-free policy.

Xi'an Port now operates 53 international passenger routes, connecting 49 major cities across 24 countries, and has achieved full coverage of seven cities in five Central Asian countries, making it the domestic hub with the most air routes between China and Asia.

Lu Bin, director of the Shaanxi General Station of Exit and Entry Frontier Inspection, said that South Korea, Malaysia, and Russia are the three countries with the highest proportions of international tourists entering Xi'an. Following the outcomes of the China-Central Asia Summit, the number of tourists to Central Asia has also shown significant growth compared to previous years.
