Xi'an Port exceeds 60,000 Spring Festival transits

More than 60,000 people passed through Xi'an Port during this year's Spring Festival holiday from Feb 15 to 23, representing a 28 percent year-on-year increase.

Of these, more than 50,000 were Chinese mainland residents, up 23 percent year-on-year; over 2,500 were Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan residents, up 68 percent year-on-year; and more than 7,600 were international visitors, up 52 percent. The city also inspected over 370 entry-exit flights, a year-on-year increase of 12 percent.

To cope with the peak travel period, the Shaanxi General Station of Exit and Entry Frontier Inspection strengthened communication with the airport and airlines, obtained flight schedules and booking numbers in advance, optimized the deployment of on-duty police forces according to passenger flow, and coordinated with various port units. All inspection channels were opened, and entry-exit travelers were guided to ensure safe and orderly travel, ensuring efficient and smooth customs clearance.
