Originally built in 1920, Tong Sheng Xiang Restaurant is a time-honored brand, a famous restaurant in Chinese food & beverage industry, a national premium restaurant, and an AAAAA-level green restaurant in China. It is famous for providing Pita Bread Soaked in Lamb Soup of unique Chinese characteristics. It is also a unit through which Shaanxi Province and Xi’an City receive visitors. At present, it is one of the Muslim restaurants that enjoys the highest level in China, is rich in culture, and shows the most prominent national characteristics.

The Pita Bread Soaked in Lamb Soup in Tong Sheng Xiang is a dish at state dinner. It has won “Golden Tripod Award”, which is the highest award among local famous dishes and snacks in China, as well as the title of “Famous Chinese Snack” awarded by China Cuisine Association. In 2008, the cooking technique of Tong Sheng Xiang’s Pita Bread Soaked in Lamb Soup was included in the national non-material cultural heritage list.
