In addition, the Museum is the only one rebuilt on the former address of West Market in the city of Chang’an in the Tang Dynasty, plus the authenticity of “West Market site.” Now the Museum is a national 4A tourist attraction and also a demonstration base for productive protection of Chinese intangible cultural heritage.

The exhibition hall covers an area of 8,000 square meters, with more than 20,000 cultural relics.

In the Museum, the protected sites cover an area of 2,500 square meters, where tourists can visit many sites like cross streets, road tracks, stone slab bridges, store foundations, and drainage channels for different periods. These sites are displayed in two forms: enclosed in glass; and exposed at their original state.

Through these historical marks that have survived the millennia, tourists can revisit good times of the Tang Dynasty.
