Artificially-bred Qinling giant panda birthrate peaks in 2022 in NW China

Thanks to sophisticated technologies, the birthrate of artificially-bred pandas at the Qinling Giant Panda Research Center in Xi'an City of northwest China's Shaanxi Province peaked in 2022.
The center successfully bred six artificially-inseminated cubs, including two sets of twins, the highest tally since its founding in 2003, raising the total birth count to 42.
The population of Qinling giant pandas in the wild grew from 109 to 345 over 35 years, as of the fourth national survey, with its increased birthrate and population density both topping national giant panda statistics.
