New kind of moon cakes become a hot favorite in Xi'an
Eating moon cakes is a traditional thing to do during the Mid-Autumn Festival, which falls on Sept 10 this year. Here, a woman shows two moon cakes filled with meat and sauce with the Chinese character Qin (秦) printed on them – at a supermarket in Xi'an, capital of Northwest China's Shaanxi province. The original design for this kind of moon cake was inspired by the city' special roujiamo food – a Chinese hamburger, with meat and sauce. After it was launched, it quickly became a hit and it now helps promote Xi'an's cuisine. [Photo/IC]
