The 4th Yan’an Night-time Economy Nightlife Festival Kicked off

On June 24th, Shaanxi Province launched the “Chinese Cuisine·Taste in Shaanxi” Carnival. The main venue was set up in Xi'an, and Yan’an carried out a series of activities in accordance with the requirements of the main event.

Wang Mingzhi, Deputy secretary of CPC Yan'an Municipal Committee, pointed out in his speech that the night-time economy is an important part of the urban economy, and an imperative way to highlight regional characteristics, extend consumption chain, and promote economic prosperity. He emphasized the significance of making the tourism of Yan’an worth visiting, abound with strong selling point. The authority will further govern the tourism market in an all-around way, advocate civilized, law-abiding and warm-hearted management, and create a safe, beautiful, comfortable and guaranteed tourism environment. The government will comprehensively enhance the “soft power” of Yan’an tourism, and strive to make Yan’an Night-time Economy Nightlife Festival a platform for exchanges and cooperation, an urban consumption festival with great brand influence, as well as a frontrunner.

The carnival will run from June 24th to December 31st. The purpose is to forge a night-time economic model, which involves learning the Red Culture and pursuing green tourism, cuisine and scenery, online and offline activities, inheritance and innovation. The carnival is themed with “prosperous leisure night-time", also based on six major sections such as“Night-time Cuisine, Night-time Visiting, Night-time Reading, Night-time Shopping, Night-time Theater, and Night-time Online”, so as to diversify citizens’ spare time, create new points of growth for consumption, fully highlight and demonstrate the charm of the city, improve the life quality for people, and cultivate a wonderful and splendid feast.
