A deep look of Shaanxi with the 14th National Games:Ankang

Located in the hinterland of Qinba (the Qinling Mountains and Daba Mountains), on the shore of Hanijang River, Ankang boasts excellent ecological environment. The city is the main tea producer in Shaanxi Province and the core water supplier of the central line of China’s South-North Water Diversion Project. The mascot dolls of the 14th National Games, which are based on the national treasures of the Qinling Mountains (the panda, the antelope, the golden monkey and the ibis) were made in community factories in Ankang.Ankang is the 12th stop of the torch relay for 2021 National Games in Shaanxi. 63 torchbearers completed the 5.7 km’s torch relay, starting from Ankang Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center, passing through Ankang Avenue, Garden Avenue, Xuefu Road, Qinling Avenue, Gaoxin Avenue and finally arriving at the Fountain Square of Culture Park.

These avenues, together with more than 70 backbone road network, constitute six horizontal and eight vertical traffic network in the Gaoxin (High tech) District, among them are five scenic street planted with the cherry blossom, hibiscus, red maple, ginkgo, and weeping willow.
