The beautiful view of the National Wetland Park in Chaoyi Town

The National Wetland Park in Chaoyi Town, Dali County, Shaanxi Province, is a national-level wetland park approved by the National Forestry Administration (now known as the National Forestry and Grassland Administration) in 2013. It covers an area of 18,000 mu (approximately 1,200 hectares), including 10,000 mu (approximately 666.7 hectares) of water area. Stretching 8.7 kilometers from east to west, and 1-1.6 kilometers from north to south, the water area, as a permanent saltwater lake at pH 7-8, consists of the lake wetland, marsh wetland and constructed wetland. The minimum elevation is 331.5 meters, about four meters lower than that of the Yellow River mud flats. It is a low-lying land in the inland salt pool and the lowest point in the north of the Luohe River of Dali County. There are 159 species of wild animals and plants in the region all year round. It is an important migration site for migratory birds and a natural bird watching garden for tourists.
