Handmade zongzi witnesses a peak season in the Muslim Quarter as the Dragon Boat Festival approaches
As the Dragon Boat Festival is just around the corner, zongzi, a traditional Chinese snack, is embracing its peak season. In recent years, the handmade zongzi has become more and more popular, in some time-honored stores they are even in short supply.
According to the report, zongzi went on sale on many stalls in the Muslim Quarter on June 13th. Some customers were even waiting in line for handmade zongzi. Though the variety of the fillings is less than that can be found in the market, it boasts a much better taste.
