Peking Opera courses enter the university campus

On June 4th, Feng Xiaomeng (right hand side), a State-Certificated Class 2 stage artist from Shaanxi Peking Opera Theatre, gave students a Peking Opera make-up lesson. To promote traditional Chinese culture, the Northwestern Polytechnical University in Xi’an, Shaanxi Province, has offered courses of the Presentations of Peking Opera Art for undergraduates since September 2017. It has integrated the art of Chinese opera into the curriculum training system as an important part of their student aesthetic education and moral education. The school has invited professional actors from Shaanxi Peking Opera Theatre to provide guidance to students. Through systematic learning, students can provide independent performance in one or two sections to experience the unique charm of Peking Opera.
