The clay figurines reenact Guanzhong customs
On April 19th, the Guanzhong Memory, a large-scale collection of clay figurines, was exhibited in the Xi’an Municipal Masses Art Gallery. The sculptor worked for many years on its conception along with 14-month of sculpting. It depicts more than 1,300 vivid clay figurines with different appearances, over 100 fowl and livestock, over 30 farmyards, coops and opera theaters, presenting a panoramic scene of people’s life during the Spring Festival in Guanzhong in the 1950s.
