The City Wall Spring Lantern Festival themed “A Glimpse of the Quintessential Chinese Spring Festival in Xi’an” opens at the South Gate of the City Wall.

On February 8th, 2018, under the theme of “A Glimpse of the Quintessential Chinese Spring Festival in Xi’an”, the City Wall Spring Lantern Festival kicked off at the South Gate of the City Wall, greeting tourists from both home and abroad. This year’s lantern festival boasts four themes: “Glory of the Golden Age”, “New Year Prayers”, “Happy Fairyland”, and “Light of the World”, displaying over twenty groups of large lanterns and thousands of small lamps. While appreciating the lantern fair, tourists can have a touch of technological glamor - the AR Tour, to watch the fair over cellphones and experience mesmerizing mysteries. The festival will last from February 8th to March 25th.
