Wudishan National Forest Park Focuses on Health Preservation
As Shaanxi has gained approval from the State Forestry Administration (SFA), it launches the construction of Wudishan National Forest Park (WNFP).
It is known that Heyang County of Shaanxi Province will take “forest park and health preservation” as themes to build WNFP into a state-level forest park, making it the second of its kind after Shaohuashan National Forest Park in Weinan.
As a state-level tourism scenic spot, WNFP will integrate folk, Buddhism, geographical and ecological cultures, providing sports, children play, health preservation, entertainment and cultural tourism services.
Located at the northwest of Heyang County in Shaanxi Province, WNFP stretches alongside Wudi Mountains. Seeing from a distance, Wudi Mount runs like roof girder in east-west direction, winning itself another name of Liangshan Mount. WNFP, some 20 km to Heyang County, covers an area of 2,026.5 hectares, composing of Liangshan, Wudishan and Yumufeng scenic spots.
Administrated by Heyang County, WNFP ranges some 50km from east to west and runs 20km into north. Its average elevation, peak height and forest coverage reaches 1,300m, 1,543.8m and 90%, respectively. Wudi Mount gains its name as Wudi Temple (Wudi is an emperor in the Han Dynasty) was built on its west peak. Taking water rocks as body, Wudi Mount is full of mountain peaks, rocks, trees, grasses and cultural relics.
WNFP will give full play of its advantages, facilitating the development of Heyang with tourism, children play, wedding celebration, health preservation and e-commerce industries, and building itself into a sheer new tourism attraction.
